As schools across the US landscape starts to reopen, a new study shows that recent COVID-19 infection has spiked up to 90% among the children in the US. Over the last 4 weeks, there has been 90% increase in the number of COVID-19 cases among children says a new analysis by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital Association. American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Infectious Diseases Vice-chairman Dr. Sean O'Leary on Monday said that corona virus cases in children should be taken seriously. "We've had 90 deaths in children in the US already, in just a few months and there are roughly around 100 deaths in children from influenza every year." Leary attributed this alarming rise to the increased movement among children and an increase in infection among the general population. "We all have to take this virus seriously, including taking care of our children," he said.
